Support Brazilian reform agenda before the G20 Presidency
The objective of the technical cooperation (TC) is to support the Brazilian government efforts in organizing the next G20 summit which will take place in November 2024 in Rio de Janeiro. The Brazilian mandate will run from December 1st, 2023, until November 30th, 2024. The TC aims to achieve its objective by: (i) providing technical and logistic assistance on both tracks: Finance track headed by the Ministry of Finance and the Sherpa track headed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Itamaraty) and to the Think20 (T20) the official engagement group of the G20 that brings together leading think tanks and research centers. The TC will address all issues covered by the tracks and T20 through studies, policy notes and events in prioritized policy areas under the Brazilian government mandate; (ii) disseminating knowledge and promoting engagement of relevant stakeholders on these efforts through workshops, and webinars; including meetings with working groups and discussions between permanent members and guests, comprising the participation of civil society and think tanks through affinity groups that will meet throughout the year.
